MG Motor India has recently launched the new 2022 MG ZS EV in the country. The new 2022 MG ZS EV gets a host of updates, which include new cosmetic enhancements, new features, along with an updated powertrain that boasts of more performance and a better range. So, in this article, we have shared the top five highlights of the new 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift.

2022 MG ZS EV – Looks and Colours

The new 2022 MG ZS EV gets a new face that houses the redesigned grille along with an updated charging port. It looks more futuristic than before. Talking about colour shades, the company is offering the new MG ZS EV in five colours. They are – Arctic White, Black Pearl, Battersea Blue, Monument Silver and Dynamic Red 

2022 MG ZS EV – Electric Powertrain

MG Motor India has updated the powertrain of the ZS EV once again. It was previously updated in 2021. This electric SUV now gets a larger 50.3kWh battery pack as compared to the older 44.5kWh battery pack. Moreover, it now develops 176 PS of power and 353 Nm of peak torque, i.e. around 33 PS more than before.  

2022 MG ZS EV – Range & Charging Time 

The new 2022 MG ZS EV is claimed to offer a driving range of 461 km per charge which is 42 km more than the previous version, which was rated at 419 km per full charge. In addition, the ZS EV gets a 7.4 kW wall-mounted AC charger which can charge it in around nine hours. Also, a 50 kW DC fast charger can charge the ZS EV’s battery to up to 80 per cent in 60 minutes.

2022 MG ZS EV – Features

In terms of features, the MG ZS EV gets a new and larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and connected car tech. There is also a brand new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree parking camera, wireless charging, digital Bluetooth key, six airbags, hill descent control, TPMS, ESC, and many other features.

2022 MG ZS EV – Price 

The new 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift is available in two variants only and it is priced between Rs 21.99 lakh – Rs 25.88 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. It rivals the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric, Tata Nexon EV, and the likes.
