The Yamaha FZ 25 is a popular quarter-litre motorcycle in the Indian market. In 2020, the Japanese two-wheeler maker updated it thoroughly and launched its BS6 compliant iteration. Now, recently Yamaha Motor India has given the 2022 Yamaha FZ 25 yet another update. In this article, we have shared with you the First Look of the new 2022 Yamaha FZ 25 BS6.

Design and Colours

The Yamaha FZ 25 is a good looking motorcycle. It features an aggressive and sporty design with attractive colour schemes. The front fascia of the motorcycle features an LED projector headlamp which is one of its biggest USPs. Talking about colour shades on offer, the new Yamaha FZ 25 is available in three different colours, namely Moto GP Edition, Metallic Black, and Racing Blue. 

Engine and Gearbox

The 2022 Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a BS6 compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor churns out 20.8 PS of maximum power at 8,000 RPM and 20.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 RPM. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Tyres, Brakes and Features

Talking about hardware, the new 2022 Yamaha FZ 25 gets telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. This quarter-litre bike gets a disc brake at both ends along with a dual-channel ABS. It runs on 17-inch tubeless tyres and gets alloy wheels. Also, the motorcycle features a digital instrument cluster that shows a lot of trip-related information.

Price and Competition

The new 2022 Yamaha FZ 25 is currently priced in India between Rs 1.38 lakh – Rs 1.39 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. This quarter-litre Japanese motorcycle locks horns against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar N250, Suzuki Gixxer 250, and the likes.
