The India-bound 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift has been revealed. The three-row SUV is featuring the new technology and a design makeover. This design makeover helps brings it in line with Skoda’s latest styling too.
As for exteriors, there has been a refreshment with the new additional upright grille. There is an elevated bonnet, revamped front and rear bumpers, and a revised headlight design too. It shows up with LED Matrix items available for the first time. It features a gloss black grille, black window frames, roof rails, and also a new bespoke front bumper. It also sits on new 20-inch alloy wheels finished in metallic black.
To the interiors, it comes with new seat designs, including a choice of electrically adjustable leather ergonomic seats. There is a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit digital display available as an option on all versions and with that, there is also a new 10-speaker Canton sound system. There is also revamped LED ambient lighting.
It is being offered with 1.5-litre TSI petroleum motors creating 150hp and 190hp, and 2.0 TDI diesel motors delivering 150hp and 200hp. The passage level TSI will be offered with a six-speed manual and front-wheel-drive; any remaining models highlight a seven-speed programmed as standard, with the more powerful petroleum and diesel models including all-wheel-drive.
The two diesel units are from the VW Group’s most recent age, and highlight a twin dosing fumes gas treatment that Skoda says decreases nitrogen oxide emanations by up to 80 per cent.
On the Kodiaq RS, the active 240hp twin-super diesel motor, which was suspended late in 2020 because of fixing emanation standards in global business sectors, has been supplanted by a 245hp, 2.0-litre super petroleum motor.
