Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 4Matic launched in India, pricing starts at Rs 2.43 crore. It is Maybach’s first extravagance SUV to go on special in worldwide business sectors and gets various changes over the standard GLS. While Mercedes has not uncovered the specific number of units available to India, the carmaker has uncovered that all 50+ units of the SUV for 2021 have effectively been reserved.

Commenting on the launch Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “We are excited to introduce the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC to India. The Maybach brand represents the pinnacle of luxury and this SUV will elevate customer experience to an unmatched level. It blends classic old-world charm and supreme comfort with the most cutting-edge technology to redefine the luxury experience on wheels. Luxury motoring with an SUV in India is reimagined with the introduction of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC. We are now glad to hand over these SUVs to discerning customers who have expressed exceptionally high interest in this fine model that rewrites expectations in the luxury SUV segment.”

Concerning the powertrain, it uses a 4.0-litre twin-super V8 furnished with a 48V gentle crossover framework. The unit creates 557hp and 730Nm of force, with the 48V framework giving an extra 22hp and 250Nm lift on request. The force is shipped off each of the four wheels by means of a 9-speed programmed gearbox.

While for the features it offers, it incorporates four-zone environment control, consequently broadening avoids, all-encompassing sunroof, versatile air suspension, warmed and ventilated front and back seats with memory work, rubbing seats front and back, the escort bundle to change the co-driver seat from the back, a back seat tablet to control in-vehicle capacities, 360-degree camera, Burmester sound framework and more.
