Mumbai-based Tata Motors launched the all-new Tata Punch sub-4-metre compact SUV in the Indian market in October last year. The Tata Punch is now the smallest SUV in the company’s Indian portfolio and it became an instant hit, thanks to its SUV-like stance. So, in this article, we will be sharing with you all the 2022 Tata Punch First Look. Let’s have a closer look at this SUV.
2022 Tata Punch: Exterior
The Tata Punch has an unmistakable SUV-like stance and that works in its favour really well. It looks like a mini Harrier as the headlamps are placed on the bumper below while the DRLs are positioned above. It is offered in seven colour shades. They are – Atomic Orange, Calypso Red, Daytona Grey, Meteor Bronze, Orcus White, Tornado Blue and Tropical Mist.

Just like the exterior, the Tata Punch offers a good cabin experience too. This SUV gets a host of features, including a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 7.0-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, 6-speakers, etc. What’s further interesting is that it comes with Tata’s latest iRA connected car technology too.
2022 Tata Punch: Engine
Tata Motors is offering the Punch with a sole 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This petrol motor pumps out 86 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it gets an AMT too.

Tata Punch has scored a 5-Star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Moreover, it comes with safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a rear parking camera, and much more.
2022 Tata Punch: Price
Lastly, talking about price, the new Tata Punch SUV is offered in four trim levels. They are – Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. It is priced between Rs 5.64 lakh – Rs 9.18 lakh, ex-showroom, and rivals the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, etc.
