MyDucati App gets a new Maintenance section with a new update. With this introduction of a section dedicated to maintenance, it would be providing all the information and services necessary to meet their
needs, contributing to maintaining the value of their bikes. In this section, each Ducatista will find all the
routine maintenance operations carried out on his motorcycle starting from July 2019 with the official
Ducati network.

Commenting on this Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “The “Maintenance” feature in the MyDucati app is a nifty feature for all Ducatisti. It takes the guesswork around service and maintenance, out of the equation and offers the option to schedule future services, updates, etc. delivering complete peace of mind. It aims to deliver detailed information to customers regarding their bike’s health in advance, ensuring peak Ducati experience whenever they head out for a ride. I am certain that riders will appreciate this form of proactive communication and it will add tremendous value to their ownership experience. ”

In addition to the new section dedicated to maintenance, the app offers many other features. In the
Garage area, owners can consult the documentation of their motorcycles at any time and always have the Ducati Card – the official document as a Ducatista – in their pocket. Here, enthusiasts can also configure the Ducati of their dreams, save it and share it with friends and their trusted dealer.

The app also has a section reserved for the official Ducati Clubs (DOC) community, where members of the Clubs can share their passion for Ducati and take advantage of all the initiatives and benefits reserved for them.

Rapido launches a new Most Care Program for its Driver Partners

Rapido launches a new Most Care Program for its Driver Partners. According to the brand, the main aim is to safeguard the physical, mental and economic health of over 1.5 million registered Captains and their family members from the impact of the pandemic. The program is live PAN India where Rapido is present. It covers a lot of initiatives like financial support, medicines and insurance cover, vehicle provision and maintenance aid, etc.

Commenting on the launch, Aravind Sanka, Co-Founder, Rapido, said, “We believe our Captains are our biggest assets and protecting them from the challenges they face on road, is paramount to us. We are proud of the efforts that the captains have put in throughout this pandemic for the safety of others, as true Helmet Heroes. We believe this program will help them protect themselves from any health risks and keep them safe, while also taking care of certain operational and maintenance costs to free them from worrying about the pandemic impact on their earnings. This is just the start of the journey where we continue to work towards doing better for them every day.”

All the Initiatives that come under #HelpForHelmetHeroes Program are mentioned below- 

  1. COVID Health Insurance: Currently, Rapido is offering COVID insurance for a sum of INR 2L & 3L, starting at just 117/-, not only for self but also as group insurance plans (+dependents) for Captains. The premium remains the same for Captains between the age group 18-60 years of age and has a wide coverage for hospitalizations. This way, Captains can be better prepared for emergency situations not only for themselves, but also their family, and not caught off-guard due to the current volatile situation.
  2. Apollo Discount on Medicines: Captains will be able to avail discounted medicines (up to 10%) from Apollo Pharmacies. To avail the discounts on medicines, the Captains have to use a coupon code during their billing and avail the offer by showing their Rapido ID card at any of Apollo Pharmacies across India. The basic construct of the discount:
    • 10% off on medicines (except DPCO – Drug Price Control Order drugs)
    • 5% off on FMCG products – Fast moving consumer goods such as soaps, shampoo, etc.
    • 15% off on Apollo products
  3. COVID Loans: Working with an external partner, Rapido is providing COVID loans for Captains in need. With the current cash crunch for Captains, loans are a way of giving back to Captains who may be in need during these tough times and get-by until the situation gets better. The loan amount is up to INR 8,000 (limit depending on Captain’s credit score) with a loan repayment period of 3-months at an interest rate of 1.5% per month.
  4. Increase in the Cancellation Cap: Increasing the number of cancellations up to 5 from earlier 2, if the Captain is not comfortable taking ahead a ride
  5. Electric Bikes on rent: Providing electric 2W bikes on rental to potential Captains who do not have vehicle of their own
  6. Bike Repairs and Servicing: Provision of door-to-door servicing and repair options in partnership with Hoopy

New 2021 Harley Davidson with 1,250cc engine is coming on 13th July. According to leaks and rumours, we can confirm that the bike would be one in the sports segment and will be powered by the 1,250cc Revolution Max motor that was also seen in the Pan America adventure bike.

As for when this new Harley Davidson with the newer 1250cc engine could be launched, the official unveiling is less than a month away and the bike is expected in dealerships by the end of the year, which is great as there isn’t a lot of delays done due to the pandemic.

While we are not sure about which Harley Davidson would use this newer 1,250cc engine, there have been multiple reports according to which the Bronx could be the bike that would be unveiled on 13th July. There has been another hint on the same too, where the Future Vehicles section on the official Harley Davidson’s website features a high-performance custom model which according to the site is planned for 2021 and there is also a picture of the 1250 Custom prototype.

Yamaha FZ-X launched at Rs 1.17 lakh in India

Yamaha FZ-X launched at Rs 1.17 lakh in India. The maker has also launched a Bluetooth-equipped variant of the same bike but it would cost Rs 3,000 more. A lot of people may not know this but the FZ-X is Yamaha’s neo-retro scrambler which is based on the FZ series motorcycle.

As for the design of the new Yamaha FZ-X, it depends on the FZ, it has totally extraordinary styling when contrasted with the road bare. The round LED headlamp is motivated by old-school plans. Tata Motors and Tata Power inaugurate India’s largest Solar Carport

Tata Motors and Tata Power inaugurate India’s largest Solar Carport. Both the Tata companies jointly inaugurated India’s largest grid-synchronized, behind-the-meter solar carport at the Tata Motors car plant in Chikhali, Pune. The 6.2 MWp solar carport deployed by Tata Power will generate 86.4 lakh kWh of electricity per year and is estimated to reduce 7,000 tons of carbon emissions annually and 1.6 lakh tons over its lifecycle. It spans over 30,000 square meters and this carport will not only generate green power, but will also provide covered parking for finished cars in the plant. Tata Motors had entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power on August 31, 2020.

As for the powertrain, it will be offered with four powerful options a 2.0 l Petrol MPi engine (6AT/ 6MT) and a 1.5 l Diesel CRDi engine (6AT/6MT). The 2.0 l Petrol MPi engine (6MT) can achieve an acceleration of 0 – 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds*. Further, the petrol engine also offers a power of 117 kW (159 PS) / 6 500 r/min. Both 2.0 l Petrol MPi engine and 1.5 l Diesel CRDi engine come with 6-Speed Manual Transmission and Automatic Transmissions.

BMW 5 Series facelift to launch in India on June 24

BMW 5 Series facelift to launch in India on June 24. This new luxury sedan will gain styling tweaks and tech upgrades with this mid-cycle update. The Facelift model of the 5 Series already got unveiled last year in the month of May internationally.

The 5 Series facelift is focused on the front grille, which is more extensive and situated lower than previously.
