As for the car itself, firstly we have the exterior and the M5 gets updated styling revisions with new in line, revised grille, new Laser light headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, and revised tail-lamps. This when compared to the pre-facelift M5, has got some new and additional feature which include revised bumpers, with the rear featuring a new apron and diffuser design, along with revised exhaust tips. According to some reports, BMW gives the option to choose between the three 20-inch alloy wheels.
Moving to the insides now, the infotainment system has been updated and now it gets a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen with the latest iDrive system which actually supports both the Wireless Android Auto and Apply CarPlay connectivity with the wired options available as well. It gets all the standard kit such as adaptive dampers, M drive modes including a track mode, Laserlight headlamps, ambient lighting, the aforementioned touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, gesture control and voice assistant, a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen which is powered and heated front sports seats, four-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, hands-free parking and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system too.
While for the powertrain, it comes with the 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 from the outgoing performance sedan. This puts it on into an identical 625hp and 750Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that channels power to all four wheels. The maker claims that this can go from a 0-100kph in just a time of 3.3sec.
