Tata Motors inaugurates 70 new sales outlets in a single day. Tata says that they are spread across 53 cities, these outlets have been strategically mapped to key emerging markets of the Southern region. These modern showrooms will be home to the company’s ‘New Forever’ range of passenger vehicles, including its electric vehicles portfolio.

Inaugurating the new dealerships Mr. Rajan Amba, Vice-President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Care, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors stated, “Southern India contributes to 28% of the total Industry volumes and hence it is very critical for us to be strategically present in the emerging markets. With a 12.1% market share in Southern India, we are committed to our customers and want to make our New Forever range of passenger cars easily accessible. The trailblazing launch of these 70 new sales outlets, marks an important milestone in our aggressive retail expansion plans in India. This expansion will help us cater to our consumers’ requirements and tastes that are constantly evolving, with both online and offline solutions, to provide a seamless ‘phygital’ experience that is more convenient and relevant today.”

Tata Motors says that one of these new showrooms would be growing rapidly in the current growing market, Tata Motors’ network in Southern India includes Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh & Kerala too. It will be including 272 and the retail footprint in India will grow to 980. 32 new dealership chains have opened in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi. Further, this widespread expansion also includes the launch of 38 outlets in upcountry markets of South India.

Skoda Auto India sales go up by 282%. Sells 3,829 units in August

Skoda Auto India sales go up by 282%, sells 3,829 units in August. When compared to the same period last year, the company sold 3,829 cars in August 2021, compared to 1,003 cars sold in August 2020. Skoda says that the KUSHAQ has fueled the growth for the brand in India, but this time even SUPERB, OCTAVIA and RAPID have also contributed to the increase in sales volumes. The sales in July 2021 stood at 3,080 units, which account for a 24% increase in August 2021 sales over July 2021.

Mr. Zac Hollis, Brand Director – ŠKODA AUTO India, said, “Our August sales have grown significantly and reflect the increasing popularity of the ŠKODA brand in India. This market is important for the global growth ambitions of the brand and we have a detailed strategy to strengthen our presence here. Along with our focused product strategy, we have taken several measures towards building a strong bond with our customers and improving the overall brand experience. We have exciting plans going forward and will continue to work towards our core objective of creating customer delight.”

The brand has even come with the rollout of the ‘India 2.0’ strategy, which began with the launch of KUSHAQ, there has been a key focus on rapidly increasing the network presence pan India. The brand is now present in more than 100 cities and opened new dealerships in key cities including Bhopal, Patna, Gurgaon and Faridabad in August 2021.

Hyundai i20 N Line launched at Rs. 9.84 lakh in India

Hyundai i20 N Line launched at Rs. 9.84 lakh in India. The Hyundai i20 N Line gets unique cosmetic bits inside and out, accompanied by a sportier suspension setup and exhaust note. As for the pricing, the Hyundai i20 N Line starts at Rs. 9.84 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 11.90 Lakh. It is being offered in 6 variants with the base model of i20 N Line is N6 iMT and the top variant Hyundai i20 N Line N8 DCT Dual Tone which comes at a price tag of Rs. 11.90 Lakh.

Compared to the regular i20 it is INR 70,000 more for iMT N-Line i20 and the DCT variant is INR 30,000 more than the regular DCT i20 Asta.

As for the car itself, it comes with a sporty appearance and is based on Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design identity, the sharp and dynamic aesthetic of the i20 N Line exudes the car’s Motorsport Inspired design cues. It comes featuring a Sporty two-tone bumper with a dedicated design and Athletic Red inserts, i20 N Line projects an aerodynamic and sporty allure. Additionally, front aggressive hood lines amplify the dynamic and sporty look of the i20 N Line. Over to the side, the dynamic and sporty image is characterized by R16 Diamond Cut Alloy wheels with N Logo on the Hub.

While for the inside, it comes with a chequered Flag Design Leather Seats with N Logo, Athletic Red Interior Highlights, Red Ambient Lights, Sporty Metal Pedals, iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) Gear Knob with N Logo, (Dual Clutch Transmission) Gear Knob with N Logo and even a 3-Spoke Steering Wheel with N Logo.

Kia introduces its top trim X Line on the Seltos for a premium experience. The car is equipped with first-in-segment 18” Crystal cut Matte Graphite Alloy Wheels that enhance its strong and tough personality. The Indigo Pera Leatherette upholstery with Honeycomb pattern enriches the premium looks of the interiors and adds to the distinctive style of the Seltos X Line. The Seltos X Line will be available exclusively with the automatic transmissions – G1.4 T-GDi 7DCT and D1.5 6AT.

Furthermore, it gets the made-in-country ‘Xclusive Matte Graphite’ exterior colour, the first-in-segment 18” (R18-46.2 cm) Crystal cut Matte Graphite Alloy Wheels and Indigo Pera Leatherette upholstery, the Kia Seltos X Line hosts multiple exterior changes over and above the regular Seltos that adds to the dynamic look of the car. It even gets a Side door to garnish with Sun Orange Accents, Center Wheel Cap with Sun Orange Accents, Xclusive Piano Black ORVM, and an Xclusive Piano Black Shark Fin Antenna too.

2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 launched at Rs 1.84 lakh in India

2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 launched at Rs 1.84 lakh in India. There is a different model that includes the entry-level, rear drum brake equipped model (Redditch) costs Rs 1.84 lakh which makes it just sitting above it is the Halcyon that gets a disc brake and dual-channel ABS at Rs 1.93 lakh. There is also the Signals model that costs Rs 2.04 lakh, while the alloy-wheel-equipped Dark variant is priced at Rs 2.11 lakh. Not to forget the top-spec Chrome model that comes at Rs 2.15 lakh.

As for what the new Classic 350 offers, it comes with a basic single-cradle frame that has been replaced by a double-downtube unit. The maker also says that the Ground clearance on the 2021 Classic 350 has increased by 35mm, to a fairly substantial 170mm. While the braking is being handled by a 300mm front disc and a 270mm rotor at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The single-channel ABS models, meanwhile, use a drum brake at the rear.

The brand has also added a whole bunch of features that include an LCD, with a fuel gauge. It also gets two trip meters. The top-spec Chrome variant also gets the company’s Tripper navigation display as an optional extra. The maker has confirmed that it uses Google Maps data via a smartphone and solely displays navigation-related information. The bike also features updated lights all around but sticks to halogen-powered bulbs.

As for the engine, there is now a 349cc engine that replaces the 346cc UCE. Royal Enfield has said that this engine is the same as the one found on the Meteor 350. The peak power and torque figures stand at 20.3hp and 27Nm. The engine also continues to be paired to a five-speed gearbox.

Tata Motors launches the Tigor EV Sedan with Ziptron technology

Tata Motors launches the Tigor EV Sedan with Ziptron technology. Tata says that the Tigor EV has also been lauded by GNCAP with a 4-star rating for adult (12.00 points out of 17.00) and child (37.24 points out of 49.00) occupant protection. It is also set to scale new heights in the dynamic world of electric mobility, the Tigor EV features Tata proprietary high voltage EV architecture, Ziptron, and is built on the three strong pillars of Technology, Comfort, and Safety.

Tata is providing an optimal range, the new Tigor EV has an extended ARAI certified range of 306 kms (under standard testing conditions), making it more desirable for the personal commute. The maker has said that they would be offering the new Tigor EV in three variants: XE, XM, XZ+ (XZ+ Dual Tone option available), which come with an 8 year and 160,000 KM battery and motor warranty for the EV owners. Moreover, it also delivers superior driving dynamics and balanced suspension for sharper handling. Other features include electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, smart key with push-button start, portable charging cable, etc.

As for the pricing, the Tigor EV XE is available at 11.99 Lakhs while the Tigor EV XM comes at 12.49 Lakhs and the Tigor EV XZ+ is priced at 12.99 Lakhs. There are also the Dual Tone options priced at 13.14 Lakhs.

Ducati Supersport 950 to launch soon in India

Ducati Supersport 950 to launch soon in India. The brand has revealed that the Supersport 950 is the next motorcycle it will launch in India. Ducati announced at the starting of the year that it would launch 12 motorcycles in India and the updated 950 was part of that list. It will follow the Ducati XDiavel that went on sale on August 12. While there is the new BS6 update, it is also being said that the 2021 Supersport has quite a few changes over the previous-gen model.

As for the bike itself, it is said to get the Panigale design treatment to bring it closer to its siblings – the Panigale V2 and the Panigale V4. This includes an aggressive headlight design with the brow-like Daytime Running Lamps and updated bodywork that now include new fins on either side of the headlight. It gets a total of three riding modes – Sport, Touring, and Urban – and a bi-directional quick-shifter. Whereas, the other electronics also include a Bosch six-axis IMU and the addition of a new 4.3-inch full-TFT dashboard.

While for the powertrain, the 2021 Supersport 950 remains largely unchanged when it comes to its engine. It still comes powered by a 110hp, 93.5Nm, 937cc, L-twin engine, and the peak power and torque come in at 9,000rpm and 6,500rpm respectively. The brand has confirmed that this engine now is Euro BS6 compliant too.

Tata Motors has launched its SUV Safari in Nepal. Tata has said that the new Safari in Nepal would be starting from the price of NPR 81.99 Lakhs, appealing to the modern-day, contemporary SUV customers who desire the perfect mix of power and elegant sophistication.

Land Rover unveils Range Rover SVR Ultimate Edition

Land Rover unveils Range Rover SVR Ultimate Edition. This has been revealed as one of the last final versions of the performance-luxury SUV. It is developed by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), the special edition Range Rover gets new paintwork and a host of personalisation options that set it apart from the standard version. The new RR SVR Ultimate Edition will soon make its public debut at the Salon Prive Concours d’Elegance on September 1, 2021.

As for what it would offer, the new Range Rover SVR Ultimate Edition is said to get a number of upgrades over the standard version. This includes three hand-finished exterior paint choices that feature solid glass flakes that brings a star-like sparkle to the colour. The colour options include Maya Blue Gloss and Marl Grey Gloss colours, both of which are exclusive to the Ultimate edition.

Each colour features a Gloss Narvik Black contrast roof that extends to the rearview mirror caps, front grille and grille surround, front wing detail and tailgate finishers. Inside, it gets chrome-finished SV Bespoke B-pillar badges black anodised metal gearshift paddles and Ultimate edition illuminated treadplates. There are the SVR-embossed lightweight performance seats as well, draped in Windsor leather and contrasting suede cloth.

While for the powertrain, it would get a 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 motor that develops 575 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The brand claims that the SVR can hit 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 283 kmph.
